What is included in your Session Guide?
My session guide is a comprehensive document that lays out everything you need for a successful, beautiful, enjoyable session! You’ll have access to my favorite locations, tips on how to style your family’s wardrobe, helpful tips on preparing little ones – and more. Think of this as a helpful roadmap to your session – my goal is to create a seamless, low-stress experience so you can enjoy a session that’s as fun as it is beautiful.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel my session? What if it rains?
Life happens – I understand! If you need to reschedule your session, we will coordinate our schedules and find a day that works. You are also free to cancel your session if needed. However, the retainer paid at the time of booking is non-refundable. In the case of bad weather, you’ll have the option of rescheduling or choosing a more favorable location.
Do you retouch photos?
I will quickly remove any prominent blemishes, but I do not do any retouching (tan lines, sunburns, rolls, etc). I do edit my photographs for color and light according to my own style. If you have requests for more extensive alterations (such as altering the natural landscape, head swaps, retouching significant acne, etc), I may accommodate these requests but due to the increased time investment, there will be additional costs starting at $20 per image.
Do you travel?
I do travel for select sessions. Mileage fees apply for locations that are further than my typical offerings. Reach out to me and we can discuss what this looks like.
Can you keep my photographs private?
Absolutely! If you prefer your photographs to remain private, please let me know prior to signing your contract as I have a model release included in my standard contract which will need to be amended.
Can I book a weekend session?
Yes! When we are setting a date for your session, I will give you several to choose from, including some select weekend dates.
You don’t have my preferred date available; can I be put on a waitlist?
Of course! While I don’t have frequent cancellations, it does happen and I’m more than happy to put you on a waitlist. Let me know your preferred dates, and I will contact you if I have any cancellations. In the meantime, I do recommend booking farther out to reserve a date.
Can I include my extended family?
Of course! Please note that extended family sessions with multiple family units are longer and require more photographs, so they are priced accordingly. If you are just wanting some photos of your children with Grandpa and Grandma, you are welcome to include them in your regular family session at no extra charge.
Do you offer mini sessions?
I offer limited mini sessions each year. These are 20 minute sessions that I offer on dates of my choosing, at a location of my choosing. Details and pricing are shared on my social media as I open dates for booking, so follow my Instagram & Facebook @SarahMasellaPhoto and join my email list for the opportunity to book a mini session. Minis are not suitable for newborns or extended families.
Ready To Book?
reserving your date
At the time of booking, a 50% retainer is due. The other half of your session fee is due on the date of your session. Your booking date is not reserved until the retainer is paid, and it is non-refundable. I will send you a contract outlining all session details which can be easily signed online.
preparing for your session
Once your contract is signed and your session date is reserved, the fun begins! I will send you my complimentary session guide, which includes an overview of my favorite locations, styling help, and tips for preparing children for a successful session. If you have any questions about your session or you’d like help picking outfits, I’m always accessible via email!
digital images
All galleries will be delivered via an emailed link within two weeks of the session. The link will contain all the high resolution photographs, which can be downloaded and shared, and will be active for 14 days. Packages are all-inclusive, so the entire gallery is yours to download, share, and print.
Prints & albums
I believe that photography is an art form that captures the beauty of everyday life, and it should be enjoyed by the whole family! Too many digital galleries are buried and forgotten on a hard drive. Prints and albums are a beautiful way to tangibly enjoy your memories for years, which is why I offer a credit towards professionally printed products with every session.
